The winner of our annual Rufus Oates Award for 2008 was Mr. Ray Coker, of Houston Texas, and our proud Vice President. In 2008 Ray was inducted into The Kenny Wetzel Swing Dee Jay Hall Of Fame, and was Dee Jay of the year for a group called "Allswing".

He previously, was inducted into The National Boppers Hall of Fame in 2000, and received the "Star Award" for The National Living Legends of Dance.

Ray, also, serves as an Artistic Consultant, with Mr. Johnny Williams, who had two songs on our "Let's Dance U.S.A." CD, "Movin' On Down The Line" and "Wild Thang", as well as Mr. Don Wise, of Knoxville, Tn. who is a saxophonist, with Delbert McClinton, and has had several Cd's released, previously.

Ray also, finds time to serve for his dance club, The Bay Area Whip Dance Club, of Houston as their dance director and as their dee jay.
